The Early Years tracker follows every child across the seven areas of learning — from Communication & Language and Physical Development through to Mathematics and Expressive Arts & Design — with baseline and termly judgements banded as Emerging, Developing or Achieved. Each child has an individual journey card showing their outcomes to date and their progress across the year at a glance. It is a distinct tool from the Primary–Year 13 whole-school tracker, purpose-built for the very different way Early Years is assessed — the two work seamlessly side by side.

The primary tracker covers all core subjects — English (with weighted Reading, Writing, GPS and Spelling/Phonics breakdown), Mathematics, Science, and foundation subjects — across every fixed assessment period from Baseline through to Term 3.

The secondary tracker shifts to a subject-teacher model — each subject has its own grade and effort entry across four data points (D1 Baseline, D2 Mid-Year, D3 Entry, D4 End of Year). The D1→Latest progress column shows movement at a glance.

The GCSE and Sixth Form tracker uses the right grade scale for each phase, with subject-by-subject entry, target grades, and predicted vs actual tracking through the examination cycle. GCSE grading is fully customisable — switch between the current 9–1 scale and the legacy A*–E scale to match how your school reports — while A Level uses A*–E.

Meridian generates polished parent progress reports from live tracker data using your school's own bespoke template. Grades auto-populate from the correct term — teachers review, adjust if needed, and print.
The optional AI comment generation uses each student's real attainment data, progress trajectory and subject performance to produce personalised written comments as a first draft. Teachers edit and approve. The heavy lifting is done.
Meridian doesn't just track the cohort as a whole — it continuously compares attainment and progress between the groups that matter. Boys against girls, by nationality, attendance concern against the rest, learning-support and behaviour-flagged pupils against their peers, even season of birth. Every comparison quantifies the attainment gap and breaks it down subject by subject, so leaders can see exactly where a group is falling behind and act early.
